MTVu is an award-winning network that broadcasts to more than 750 college campuses. Its programming covers all aspects of college life, with shows profiling college students, activism, and emerging new music.
For their network and digital rebrand, we employed eye-catching pop art aesthetics and low-brow internet culture to create an exciting visual framework for MTVu’s content. Quirky illustrations, geometric patterns, and arresting colors combine with rapid-fire animation into a perfectly stylish catalogue of customizable idents, intros, interstitials, bumpers, and newfeeds.

TOOLKITS
The network updates their newsfeed and pop culture content constantly, so they needed a highly flexible but easily customizable toolkit to help facilitate this. The text, timing, transitions, and supporting icons needed to simple to change out at a moment's notice. We built and organized a system of After Effects toolkits that including using Markers as transition points and streamlined type editors. There’s no messing with keyframes or digging into pre-comps required. Everything is achieved by simply typing, dragging markers, and clicking checkboxes.
